I Congratulate Management for making SSM College pride of Kashmir. It is dream come true after a long struggle of 30 years. SSM College is first ever college in private sector which has given scope and space to young students to pursue their career of excellence. It has come up with 80 students in 1988 and now it has 4000 students. I appreciate the courage of management to build the college in spite of resistance they faced. The promoters are an example of courage and students must follow them as role model and get inspiration from them. I congratulate the college for placement of students. The college has won several awards since its inception. The college has provided option to the students to pursue their career in Kashmir as its not easy to go outside for studies.

My earlier visit to the campus was in April, 2003 when J&K Bank opened its extension counter; since then lot of development has taken place in terms of infrastructure; enriching facility and introduction of new courses. Creating an institution with this kind of facilities, ambience and infrastructure is a classic example of entrepreneurship and a successful model which can be used by others. My compliments to Management; faculty and other stakeholders for taking institution to this level and wish them all the best in future endeavours.

SSM College is playing vital role in shaping the career of our students. I am highly impressed by the infrastructure and the service college is rendering to the society. My Govt is giving thrust on education sector and introducing of Courses to keep pace with present global scenario and job market.
