World Heritage Week celebrated at SSM College of Engineering

The Archaeological Survey of India circle Srinagar organized one day Photo Exhibition and Heritage walk to monument in collaboration with SSM College of Engineering to day on 24th Nov 2021. The programme was a part of world Heritage week celebration, 19th to 25th Nov 2021 and was held at SSM College of Engineering Parihaspora.
Principal SSM College of engineering Dr. Sajad Hussain Din was the Chief Guest and Dr. Izhar Alam Hashmi Superintending Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India J&K was Guest of Honour on the occasion. Prof. (Dr.) N.A. Shah Registrar SSM College of Engineering welcomed the guests, Dr. Izhar Alam gave an expert lecture, Dr. Sajad Hussain Din blessed the gathering with his valuable ideas regarding the subject. Er. S.S.A Rufai presented the vote of thanks.
The authorities from both the organizations agreed to work together in future for preservation and conservation of places of Archaeological importance. It was also agreed up that an MOU shall be signed between SSM College of Engineering and Archaeological Survey of India Srinagar Circle for facilitation of site visits, project works, research work and internship of SSM students under auspicious of Archaeological Survey of India Srinagar Circle.
Besides faculty and students Sh. Jai Karan Singh Assistant Archaeologist, Er. Farhat Ahmad Shah CA, Mr. Rangvir Singh and other members of ASI, Mr. Adil Naqash CAO, Heads of Departments, Deputy Registrars and dignitaries were also present.
