SSM College of Engineering Hosts Grand Alumni Meet 2026: Over 100 Alumni Reconnect and Inspire the Next Generation

The Alumni Association of SSM College of Engineering, Parihaspora, organized a grand Alumni Meet on 14th March 2026 at the SSM College campus. More than 100 alumni attended the event.
Senior alumni including Dr. Muzamil Rafiqi, Superintendent Engineer (LCMA); Er. Firdous Ahmad Bhat, Chairman IEI J&K State Centre; and Er. Irfan Ahmad Reshi, Secretary IEI, graced the occasion. Alumni serving in various government departments, organizations, entrepreneurial ventures, and startups also participated in the event.
During the program, the alumni congratulated 61 newly recruited Junior Engineers selected through JKSSRB in the R&B (PWD) and Jal Shakti Departments, who were present at the event as special invitees.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Muzamil Rafiqi, emphasized that budding engineers must work with dedication and sincerity so that the responsibilities assigned to them are carried out effectively and successfully.
Er. Firdous Ahmad Bhat, appreciated the contribution of the college management and faculty in shaping the future of students.
Er. Irfan Ahmad Reshi, stressed the importance of strengthening alumni engagement with industry and academia.
Some alumni had also come from other parts of the globe like Er. Mushafiq Ashai, UAE based Web Consultant expressed that SSM College not only provides a degree but also shows the path to fulfil one’s dreams.
Er. Yaseer Ahmad Regoo, Senior Manager Cyber Security at J&K Bank, emphasized the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence courses in all Engineering and Management fields.
Er. Kamran Nisar, a successful entrepreneur and chairman of several organizations including Winter Fell Café, highlighted the need to inculcate an entrepreneurial culture among students.
Many alumni holding key positions in government and multinational organizations attended the event.
On the occasion, members of the college managing committee including Dr. G. N. Qasba, Mrs. Roma Wani, Prof. (Dr.) Barkat Hussain, and Prof. (Dr.) M. A. Shah (NIT Srinagar) were also present
