Game On: Pickleball Debuts in Baramulla with Public Courts at SSM College

In a significant milestone for sports development in the region of North Kashmir, two Pickleball courts were inaugurated for the first time at SSM College, Baramulla, by Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council.

These newly inaugurated courts will remain open to the public from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. Access is not limited to students. Anyone interested may book a slot online to play.

This initiative has been made possible through a collaborative effort with WHS Sports Hub. As part of this partnership, regular training programs, workshops, and tournaments will be organized to promote the sport and nurture local talent. Pickleball is a rapidly emerging sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is accessible, inclusive, and suitable for participants across all age groups and skill levels.
