An event was conducted in the Seminar Hall of SSM College of Engineering under the title “Achievers Insight” in collaboration with Kashmir wake up, wherein experts in the field of administration gave insight into the matters relevant to career development of students.
Welcoming the visiting resource persons/officers Prof. (Dr.) N.A. Shah, Registrar expressed the hope that sharing of the experience by the resource persons shall broaden the vision of our students.
The resource persons who spoke on the occasion included Mr. Shakeel Maqbool, IAS (Allied Services) Deputy Commissioner Recovery, State Taxes, Mr. Shahnawaz Bukhari, JKAS Assistant Commissioner State Taxes Enforcement North Kashmir, Dr. Mantasha Binti Rashid JKAS Fulbright Scholar in Gender and Policy Research Scholar from University of Westminster, London (Secretary SDA), Mr. Tahir Wani JKAS, State Tax Officer Enforcement Central Kashmir, Mr. Waheed JKAS State Tax Officer, Kashmir. The resource persons spoke about various aspects of career development and steps to be taken for shaping up of careers in engineering/other fields including civil services. They shared their experiences to achieve the targets of shaping of a bright career in the field of their interest.
On this occasion besides student’s faculty members, HODs and senior functionaries of the College were present. The resource persons praised the efforts of college management in providing quality education to the students and expressed their gratitude for providing them a platform to share their views. At the end of the session Dr. Sajad Hussain Din, Principal of the College presented a vote of thanks to the visiting officers and expressed hope that students will be encouraged by the views of the experts on the issue of career development. Lastly mementos were presented to the various resource persons.
