The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), along with leading Entrepreneurs and family business owners from across the country which is on one week's tour holding “CII J&K Youth Confluence Summer in Srinagar” from 16th to 22nd May 2022 to Kashmir, visited SSM College of Engineering, Campus Pattan, on 19-05-2022 and SSM College of Engineering hosted an interface and interaction of visiting team with budding entrepreneurs from the Kashmir Valley.
The visiting delegation was headed by Dr. Rahul Mirchandani, Chairman and Managing Director Aries Agro Limited, included among others Prof. Tulsi Jyakumar, Executive Director, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mr. Jacob Roy Director JJ Confectionery Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Karthik Shah Energy Pack Boilers, Mr. Anuj Kothari Chief Executive Adinath Enterprise, Syed Eshan Javaid Chairman CII J&K and Khurshid Dar, Head CII J&K.
Welcoming the members to the College Mrs. Dilafrose Qazi, Vice-Chairperson of the Institute gave a briefing of the College and presented an overall socio-economic scenario of this Region. Holding Kashmir as the Crown of India she in her address highlighted the importance of this region and threw light on the growth, potential and scope of some important industrial and Agro-horticultural products of Kashmir.
Addressing the event, head of the delegation Dr. Rahul Mirchandani, Chairman and Managing Director Aries Agro Limited emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to encourage young entrepreneurs/engineers and provide technical and financial support for the start-up. He assured the gathering that CII and its Industry Partners will come forward for this purpose in a meaningful manner.
Dr. Tulsi Jyakumar, Executive Director, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research also spoke on the occasion and praised the talent of the students of SSM College and the ambient and conducive atmosphere for carrying out academic activities in the College. She expressed the hope that exchange of ideas shall help the start-ups in carrying forward their mission for becoming efficient entrepreneurs.
Syed Eshan Javaid Chairman CII J&K and Khurshid Dar, Head CII J&K also spoke on the occasion and assured all possible help for start-ups and placement drives from CII and expressed the hope the event conducted at SSM College shall act as a starting point for the same.
The night also involved exchange of innovative and brilliant ideas from entrepreneurs, engineers and students which was attended by a visiting delegation of 80 leading entrepreneurs/family business owners from different parts of the country.
On having dinner under open sky, the delegation was deeply impressed with the overall ambiance and beauty of the campus.
The delegation expressed thanks and pleasure for the enthusiastic reception given by the College to make the event memorable.
